ABOUT DEREK
From the chilly forests of Northern Ontario, Derek followed his hockey dreams and earned a Chemical Engineering degree from of the University of Alabama Huntsville while winning a National Championship and All American goaltending honors. Derek teams with Don Hutton to spear-head the sales, purchasing, production, and product development at Molex Group with the same intensity that he showed as a collegiate and professional hockey player.
A Molex employee for over 16 years, Derek works to streamline the business and grow relationships with suppliers and customers. Relocating to the Houston area was a big start to increasing the Molex presence in the chemical industry.
Derek and his wife, Heather, live in Mont Belvieu Texas with their daughter. Derek is an avid sports fan and is always up for a round of golf.

ON TO PHILADELPHIA
Upon graduation, Derek says good bye to Alabama and travels to Wayne, PA to run a coatings line for Johnson Matthey.
1991 - Off to Alabama!
GRADUATES HIGH SCHOOL
After high school, Derek moved south to Huntsville, AL on a hockey scholarship to pursue a Chemical Engineering Degree. The Team enjoyed great success culminating in a Division II National Championship in 1996.
2003 - Alabama
BACK TO MOLEX
Looking for a change, Derek reconnects with Molex and starts a new career in chemical marketing. Derek works his way up in the company.
1996 - Florida, Tennessee and Alabama
CONTINUES HIS HOCKEY CAREER
Pursuing his hockey dreams, Derek plays for 3 teams in as many states over 3 seasons. His final year with the Huntsville, AL Channel Cats earned his team a league championship along with individual MVP honors in the regular season and playoffs.
2013 - Hankamer
SOUTH TO TEXAS
To help manage the storage terminal and establish a presence in Texas, Derek relocates to the Houston area along with Don Hutton.
1999 - Alabama
CO-OPS AT MOLEX
While completing his Chemical Engineering Degree, Derek joins Molex as a Co-op student.
Present - Texas
TODAY AT MOLEX
Derek is the Business Manager which carries responsibilities for day to day operations, sales, procurement, product development and management of the Molex and ACB Teams. In addition to the domestic business, Derek manages the operations out of Singapore and travels the globe in search of new opportunities for the business.
